We are excited to announce the successful launch of INVISION v3.0! This update includes several new features, enhancements, and bug fixes that improve the overall functionality and user experience of the platform.

New Features

Enhanced SSURGO Soil Classification

  • Upgraded to USDA’s 12 soil texture classes, providing detailed insights into soil texture and moisture retention.
  • The Soil Aggregate Comparison feature in Insights (Aggregate Analysis) now automatically incorporates this new classification.

Satellite Field Monitoring Enhancements

  • New Layers:
    • RGB Imagery: High-resolution, true-color satellite images for visual inspections and monitoring changes over time.
    • Crop Biomass: Insights into plant health by depicting biomass distribution within a field, aiding in assessing crop vigor and predicting yield potentials.

  • Access for SAAS Clients: Client-admins with imagery-admin permission can now access the imagery ordering screen, allowing them to subscribe to satellite imagery directly.

Bulk Assign Permission(s) in Project Management

  • Users can now assign roles or permissions to multiple trials simultaneously.

INVISION Mobile Autosave Functionality

  • Introduced autosave functionality in the INVISION mobile app, ensuring field visit data is preserved during interruptions.

  • New UI indicator and pop-up options to continue or cancel the visit.

Enhancements

  • Field Visit Planning & Trial Progress Performance
    Optimized backend paging for faster load times.
    Added filters for steps and completion status.
    Introduced opt-in email notifications for assigned field visits.

  • View Individual Field Visits
    Added a toggle feature in the "View Fields" section to selectively view individual field visits.

  • Field Visit Update
    System modified to maintain the original visit date and 'Completed By' user information, even after edits to field visit records.

  • Imagery View Fields
    Enhanced ability to filter and manage users' favorite images.

  • Permission for Trial Drop-outs
    Trial operatives now have the ability to manage drop-outs.

Bug Fixes

GIS Workstation: Corrected an issue where the measure tool informational pop-up was displaying behind other elements on the editor screen.

Imagery View: Fixed a bug in the image conversion function that previously generated new PNG versions, reducing unnecessary storage usage by reusing existing files. Resolved a skewing issue in imagery post-analysis ensuring accurate bands classification.

Protocol Field Data: Updated the system to prevent the automatic creation of a "Grower Standard Practice" section in trials with the "Disable Untreated" option enabled. 

INVISION Mobile: Fixed a bug that prevented Android users from accessing the camera to take pictures directly through the app.
