**INVISION v3.8.0** introduces significant new features, platform enhancements, and stability fixes across Field Operations, Trial Management, GIS Workstation, Enrollment workflows, and Exports.

#### New Features

##### 1. **Fields Administration – Full Control**

[![image.png](https://docs.prod.intent.ag/uploads/images/gallery/2025-08/scaled-1680-/image.png)](https://docs.prod.intent.ag/uploads/images/gallery/2025-08/image.png)

    - Rename fields.
    - Reassign ownership.
    - Edit field boundaries.
    - Delete fields (with safeguards to prevent deletion when associated data is present).

**Value:** Reduces helpdesk reliance, empowers client-admins with self-service tools, and ensures better data governance while protecting trial integrity.

##### 2. **Season Start Dates in Protocols**

Protocols now allow admins to configure custom season start dates.

[![image.png](https://docs.prod.intent.ag/uploads/images/gallery/2025-08/scaled-1680-/157image.png)](https://docs.prod.intent.ag/uploads/images/gallery/2025-08/157image.png)

- Options:

    - **Default** → Actual planting date.
    - **Custom** → Manually defined season start date.
- Impacts:

    - Growing Degree Days (GDD) accumulation.
    - Field Weather timelines (Season at a Glance).
    - Imagery timelines.
    - Visit schedules.

##### 🌱 Why Season Start Dates Matter

Most crops are managed by their **planting date**. That date drives everything downstream:

- **GDD (Growing Degree Days)** accumulation → determines crop growth stage and development rate.
- **Imagery timelines** → when NDVI/biomass images are available and meaningful.
- **Weather summaries** (Season at a Glance) → tied to the crop’s growth window.
- **Visit scheduling** → when agronomists go to the field for stand counts, tissue samples, etc.

If you only use the planting date, this works fine for spring-planted crops like corn or soybeans. But some crops don’t fit that model.

##### 🌾 Examples of Region & Crop-Specific Needs

1. **Winter Wheat / Dormancy Crops**

    - Planted in the fall (Sept–Oct), but growth *pauses* over winter.
    - If you use planting date as the start, the system would “accumulate” GDD through the winter, even when the crop is dormant.
    - With **custom start dates**, an admin can set the season to begin when the crop “breaks dormancy” in spring (e.g., March 1).
    - This aligns weather, GDD, imagery, and visits with *actual biological growth*.
2. **Double-Crop Systems**

    - Some crops are grown in off-season windows (between harvest and next planting).
    - A farmer might plant soybean harvest in October, but the relevant growth season is late fall and early spring.
    - A **custom season start** ensures trial analysis reflects the right timeframe, not just the raw planting date.

##### 3. **Automated Trial Summary Exports**

A new **Automated Exports page** provides a one-click export of Trial-Level Summary data.

- **Field Export:** Core field, grower, location, and protocol details.
- **Yield Export:** All Field Export details plus yield insights (yield, product/treatment, sample size, standard deviation, etc.).

**Benefit:** Standardized, repeatable data exports for client reporting and trial analysis.

##### Enhancements:

##### **Enrollment & Grower Management**

    - Collect signed documents at the trial level (consent forms, agreements, trial-specific contracts).
    - Configurable as required or optional.
    - Controlled under **Trials Management → Project Management** settings.

[![image.png](https://docs.prod.intent.ag/uploads/images/gallery/2025-08/scaled-1680-/N8limage.png)](https://docs.prod.intent.ag/uploads/images/gallery/2025-08/N8limage.png)

# September 2025 Release v3.12.0

**INVISION v3.12.0** is our most comprehensive Insights release to date, transforming how users analyze, configure, and share results across trials and field programs.

Historically, **Insights** has been built around yield data which is valuable, but limiting for those collecting broader on-farm information. Many of our partners track farmer practices, field information, soil properties, planting details, and seasonal observations. That data that’s always existed in INVISION but wasn’t easy to analyze together.

With this release, Insights now brings all of it **yield data, field visit data, and field and management information** into one cohesive, visual experience.

##### **Highlights**

**1. INSIGHTS | Aggregate Reports Redesign**

The redesigned **Insights** experience gives users a single place to explore and understand everything collected throughout the growing season whether that’s from **field visits**, **surveys**, or **trial setup**.

[![image.png](https://docs.prod.intent.ag/uploads/images/gallery/2025-10/scaled-1680-/image.png)](https://docs.prod.intent.ag/uploads/images/gallery/2025-10/image.png)

This release focuses on making field-level data more usable and meaningful not by introducing new metrics, but by unlocking the value of the data that’s already being collected through consistent setup and field activity.

All the information that appears in Insights comes from what’s configured and collected in INVISION projects. Each project defines its own **Field Visit Questions**, **Field Information, Survey Questions, Commercial Program questions, etc.** and those now drive what can be visualized and aggregated inside Insights.

For example:

- **Field Visits** → observations such as stand counts, biomass weights, trial ratings, or photos.
- **Field Information** → irrigation, soil type, tillage system, soil CEC, or management practices.
- **Planting & Operation Details** → hybrid or variety, planting date, prior crop, and other setup attributes.

[![image.png](https://docs.prod.intent.ag/uploads/images/gallery/2025-10/scaled-1680-/fSlimage.png)](https://docs.prod.intent.ag/uploads/images/gallery/2025-10/fSlimage.png)

When these are properly configured and collected, Insights automatically aggregates and displays them letting teams explore relationships, trends, and differences across fields, products, or management practices.

##### **Unified Data View: Exports with Yield and Characteristics**

[![image.png](https://docs.prod.intent.ag/uploads/images/gallery/2025-10/scaled-1680-/IY7image.png)](https://docs.prod.intent.ag/uploads/images/gallery/2025-10/IY7image.png)

Yield and characteristics data now live in the same workspace. This design gives operations and agronomy teams the flexibility to answer both performance and practice questions all within a single view.

##### **Practical Use Cases**

- Compare trial outcomes between **irrigated and dryland** fields.
- Track how **different hybrids or prior crops** influence yield or stand establishment.
- Aggregate **field visit observations** to evaluate consistency across territories.
- Review **planting and harvest timing** patterns across growers or regions.

*Example: Loamy Fields in Midwest with their Product Performance*

[![image.png](https://docs.prod.intent.ag/uploads/images/gallery/2025-10/scaled-1680-/2huimage.png)](https://docs.prod.intent.ag/uploads/images/gallery/2025-10/2huimage.png)

Everything that used to require a custom dashboard or export can now be analyzed interactively inside Insights.

##### **2. INSIGHTS | Views – Save, Share, and Reuse**

[![image.png](https://docs.prod.intent.ag/uploads/images/gallery/2025-10/scaled-1680-/vwqimage.png)](https://docs.prod.intent.ag/uploads/images/gallery/2025-10/vwqimage.png)

The new **Views** framework introduces configurability and collaboration inside Insights. Users can now build their own analysis experience, save it, and return to it anytime without reselecting filters or reconfiguring charts.

Views remember exactly how data was filtered, what characteristics were selected, and how charts were displayed. This allows each user to personalize their workflow while maintaining consistency across teams.

Teams can now:

- **Save custom setups** as Named Views to revisit later.
- **Share Views** across the organization to ensure consistent reporting and analysis.

This makes Insights more than a visualization tool it becomes a configurable workspace that adapts to how different users explore data.

For a detailed walkthrough on how to load characteristics, filter data types, and create or share Views, see the [Insights How-To Guide](https://docs.prod.intent.ag/books/invision-learning-guide/page/learning-insights "Insights How-To Guide") This guide covers every step from selecting characteristics to saving and managing public or private Views.

### [Learning Insights](https://docs.prod.intent.ag/books/invision-learning-guide/page/learning-insights "Learning Insights")

# November & December 2025 Release v3.14.0

INVISION v3.14.0 closes out 2025 with a release focused on **sharing Insights, adding seasonal context, and improving control over trial data**.

This update builds on the Insights work delivered earlier in the year and reflects feedback we’ve heard consistently: teams want easier ways to share analysis, clearer environmental context when reviewing results, and more confidence in how data is cleaned and carried forward.

#### **What’s New**

##### **Insights | Private View Sharing**

Insights Views can now be shared internally.

Saved Views can be shared using a secure link or by inviting teammates via email. When opened, the View loads exactly as it was saved, including filters, selected characteristics, and chart configuration. Access remains fully permission-based and respects existing client, trial, and Insights access.

This allows teams to reference the same analysis without recreating it or exporting data outside of INVISION.

##### **Insights | Historical Precipitation Average**

The **Weather & Growth Stages** chart now includes a historical average precipitation overlay.

[![image.png](https://docs.prod.intent.ag/uploads/images/gallery/2026-01/scaled-1680-/kTEimage.png)](https://docs.prod.intent.ag/uploads/images/gallery/2026-01/kTEimage.png)

This provides immediate context when reviewing seasonal performance, making it easier to understand whether outcomes occurred under unusually wet, dry, or typical conditions.

##### **GIS Workstation | Exclude Harvest Data by Soil Type**

Harvest points can now be excluded by soil unit directly in the GIS Workstation.

[![image.png](https://docs.prod.intent.ag/uploads/images/gallery/2026-01/scaled-1680-/29Wimage.png)](https://docs.prod.intent.ag/uploads/images/gallery/2026-01/29Wimage.png)

Using SSURGO (U.S.) or CanSIS (Canada) soil data, users can exclude yield points tied to specific soil types without drawing custom exclusion polygons. Exclusions remain consistent with downstream maps and Insights and do not modify raw harvest data.

##### **Project Management | Dropout Notes**

Users can now record notes when a field is dropped from a trial.

If the same field is enrolled again in the future, INVISION surfaces those notes as a warning, helping preserve context from previous seasons.

#### **Improvements**

##### **Insights**

**Visibility for Missing Field Data**
Fields that have not answered a selected characteristic are now visible and exportable in Insights, making data gaps explicit during analysis.

**Export Charts as PNG**
Individual Insights charts can now be exported as high-resolution PNG images for use in presentations and reports.

---

##### **GIS Workstation**

**Improved Interaction Consistency**
Selection, inspection, and attribute table behavior have been refined for more predictable interactions across tools and layers.

**Descriptive File Naming**
Files downloaded from the GIS Workstation now use standardized, descriptive names based on operation type, grower, and field.

**Exclude Features Workflow Update**
The *Exclude Features* action now routes users into the Exclusion Polygon workflow, ensuring exclusions are geometry-based, persistent, and aligned with Insights.

---

##### **Project Management & Dashboards**

**Bulk Removal of User Permissions**
Client Admins can now remove all permissions for a user in a single action.

**Dashboards Across Protocols**
Superset dashboards can now be linked to multiple protocols within the same trial.

# December & Mid January 2026 Release v3.15.0

INVISION v3.15 introduces a major expansion in how trial results can be shared and reused, alongside improvements that help teams move faster at the start of a new trial year and operate more reliably during active seasons.

This release focuses on two core themes:

- **External sharing of validated Insights**, without requiring recipients to log into INVISION.
- **Operational efficiency for new trial setup**, integrations, and downstream publishing workflows.

#### What’s New

##### Insights | Published Views for External Sharing

Insights Views can now be published as **read-only, publicly accessible links**, allowing validated trial results to be shared with non-INVISION audiences without requiring a login.

When a View is published:

- The View renders exactly as configured at publish time (filters, characteristics, charts, and maps).
- The published View is **read-only** and cannot be modified by viewers.
- All calculations continue to run through INVISION’s existing Insights services, ensuring data consistency.

**Privacy Modes**

When publishing an Insights View, users can choose how identifying information is handled:

- **Standard Mode**
Grower and field names are shown exactly as entered in INVISION.
- **Privacy Protected Mode**
Grower and field names are anonymized, while all analytical results remain unchanged.

This allows teams to tailor external sharing based on the intended audience, whether that’s internal stakeholders, partners, or broader commercial use.

**Access Control**

- Published links automatically expire after **14 days**.
- Links can be disabled at any time.
- Expired or disabled links immediately stop resolving.

This ensures teams retain control over how long results are accessible outside the platform.

---

##### Project Management | Import Protocol Steps for Faster Trial Setup

As teams ramp up new trials for the year, INVISION now allows users to **import existing protocol steps** within the same client.

Imported steps include:

- Associated sections
- All configured characteristics
- Default settings and structure

This enables teams to start from a proven prior-year setup instead of rebuilding protocols from scratch. After import, users are prompted to review and update step dates to ensure alignment with the current trial year.

This significantly reduces setup time for recurring trials while preserving data integrity.

Feel free to check out the [How to Import Protocol Steps for Faster Trial Setup in INVISION](https://docs.prod.intent.ag/books/invision-learning-guide/page/how-to-import-protocol-steps-for-faster-trial-setup-in-invision "How to Import Protocol Steps for Faster Trial Setup in INVISION")

---

##### Insights | Field Notes Panel

Insights now includes a dedicated **Field Notes panel**, allowing teams to review qualitative field observations directly alongside analytical results.

Field Notes can be viewed:

- **By Field**, grouped and collapsible
- **As a Timeline**, showing all notes in chronological order

An optional map view displays note locations and attachments, making it easier to connect in-season observations with trial outcomes without leaving Insights.

---

#### Enhancements

##### Authentication & Integration Reliability

**Persistent John Deere & Climate FieldView Connections**
INVISION now supports more persistent integration flows for John Deere and Climate FieldView. Growers and operators can link their accounts once and maintain that connection across the season, reducing repeated reconnecting and improving reliability for ongoing machine data ingestion.

**Persistent INVISION Login**
INVISION now maintains user sessions more reliably, reducing unnecessary logouts caused by browser refreshes or idle periods during normal use.

---

##### Project Management & Data Setup

**Bulk Paste for Select and Multi-Select Characteristics**
Users can now paste lists of values to create Select and Multi-Select options in bulk, speeding up protocol and field data setup for characteristics with long option lists.

**Clear Operation Dates in Trial Progress**
Planting, application, and harvest dates can now be cleared if entered incorrectly, making it easier to correct setup mistakes without backend intervention.

---

##### Automated Publishing & Exports

**Standardized Backend Export Pipeline**
INVISION now uses a standardized backend export pipeline to produce consistent, validated outputs for automated publishing workflows. Exports are only generated when fully valid, preventing partial or malformed data from being consumed downstream.

**Expanded Data Included in Automated Exports**
Automated exports now include both published and unpublished trials, along with additional metadata indicating published status and Insights inclusion to support downstream reporting and integrations.

[![image.png](https://docs.prod.intent.ag/uploads/images/gallery/2026-03/scaled-1680-/XACimage.png)](https://docs.prod.intent.ag/uploads/images/gallery/2026-03/XACimage.png)

Users can independently activate and style each layer without affecting others. This enables teams to:

- Confirm hybrid consistency across zones
- Validate uniform application rates
- Identify unintended treatment overlap
- Ensure yield differences reflect treatment effects before defining trial zones

This significantly improves spatial validation and trial placement accuracy.

#### INVISION Mobile | Prior-Year Visits as Map Layers

Within the mobile app, users can now display prior-year visit locations for the same field as map layers while recording visits in the current trial year.

This supports consistent sampling at identical field locations and improves year-over-year evaluation without requiring users to switch between trials.

#### Enhancements

##### GIS Workstation | Standardized Data Ingestion & Job Visibility

All uploads, integrations, and GIS-driven data creation now follow a unified job-based processing model.

Users can now see:

- What is currently processing
- Where data will appear once completed
- Clear failure reasons when issues occur

This eliminates ambiguity around upload status and reduces duplicate retries caused by uncertainty.

---

##### GIS Workstation | Yield & Moisture Preview

When viewing productivity layers, GIS Workstation now provides an in-editor preview of yield and moisture distributions.

[![image.png](https://docs.prod.intent.ag/uploads/images/gallery/2026-03/scaled-1680-/aVjimage.png)](https://docs.prod.intent.ag/uploads/images/gallery/2026-03/aVjimage.png)

Users can immediately assess data range, variability, and potential outliers without leaving the workspace, enabling faster harvest data validation.

---

**System Notifications | Automated Pending File Alerts**

Automated email notifications are now triggered when uploaded files remain in a pending state beyond a defined time threshold, ensuring stalled conversions are surfaced without requiring manual monitoring.

---

**System Notifications | Standardized Email Workflows**

Onboarding, password reset, and export notification emails have been standardized with clearer intent, updated branding, and improved failure messaging for automated exports.
